I'm just about pleased as punch that you've deemed me worthy enough to read about. You make me feel loved. Very loved indeed.

...so anyways, I guess this is the time for me to babble on about myself? Well alright then- here we go.

Heart:
anime/manga, Micheal Jackson, salt & vinegar chips, being able to lie in bed for hours, AFI, singing & dancing when I don't think anyone's looking, writing, saurkraut, and playing tuba

No heart:
missing the bus, peaches

(just as a head's up- I'm more active on dA then I am here. Same username, too.)

Shout

LOLZ SHOUTBOX WHERE I CAN SHOUT ALL DAY AND NOT BE PENALIZED. THOUGH I'M NOT REALLY SHOUTING...IT JUST SEEMS LIKE IT. GEE WILLIKERS, IT'S LIKE I CAN FORCE YOUR BRAIN INTO READING THIS AND THINKING, "OH SNAP SHE'S SHOUTING", WHEN REALLY I'M NOT. :)
I HEART MIND-CONTROL.

...what is the meaning behind this nonsensical definition?

I was crusing through my pocket dictionary (no, I'm not ashamed that I own and use a pocket dictionary on a regular basis. It's absolutely fantastic for writing!) and I came across the definition for ravish.

Webster's New World Pocket Dictionary claims that it means to:
1)fill with great joy
2)rape

...Yes, you read that correctly. Since when does ravish equal joy? And as a first definition, no less! (Because we all know that definitions are listed in order of use.)

I traveled to oed.com (Oxford English Dictionary) and lo and behold, the definition makes no mention of joy. Yet here's the rub. Dictionary.com lists "to fill with strong emotion, esp. joy".

I repeat, what is behind this nonsensical claim? As it stands now, I am unable to answer such a query. I can't seem to find it on ye ol' internets.

But I implore thee, if thou findest any information, I would be most pleased to learn it. :)

EDIT: Thanks to MudL O bster, my query has been answered!
